The directory of Petroperu reported in a statement the appointment of Gustavo Adolfo Villa Mora as general manager in charge of the state company as of December 6, 2025.
The company has indicated that this decision was adopted by the presidency of the board of directors within the framework of the process of consolidating the management team and thus “strengthening the strategic and operational leadership” of the State company.
Who is Gustavo Villa Mora?
The petrochemical engineer graduated from the National University of Engineering (UNI) had been working as manager of Talara Operations and has an MBA from ESAN with a major in Energy Management.
He also completed a specialization program in Finance (PAE–ESAN) and Project Management at the University of Piura.
The new general manager in charge has nearly two decades of experience in the hydrocarbon industry, especially in operations and project execution.
Petroperú pointed out that it proposes, with the appointment of Villa Mora, to promote a management structure aimed at operational efficiency, strengthening internal processes and making decisions aligned with the priorities of the company and the country.
