Santo Domingo Motors took a strategic step in its national expansion process with the inauguration of its modern branch in Punta Cana, La Altagracia province, with an investment of US$14 million that will generate more than 130 direct and indirect jobs and will strengthen the automotive infrastructure of one of the most economically dynamic areas of the country.
At the opening ceremony, the president of the company, Aníbal Rodríguezhighlighted that this advance is part of the leadership position held by the dealership, recognized as number one in reputation within the Dominican automotive sector.
He said that the new headquarters, located in the Eastern Tourist Boulevard KM 8, was designed under the global standards of the brands that we represent. Nissan, Chevrolet, SuzukiInfiniti and Cadillac, which integrates cutting-edge technology and a service platform aimed at meeting the needs of residents, companies, investors and the area’s growing tourism sector.
“Are new facilities confirm our vision of bringing the best automotive experience to each region of the country, aligned with global standards and with investments that accompany the sustainable economic development of the Dominican Republic,” said Rodríguez.
Long-established company
The executive recalled that Santo Domingo Motors is the company with the longest history in the automotive sector in the country, with 105 years of continuous operations, which supports the solidity of this type of long-term investments.
The inauguration is part of the expansion plan started in 2019 and marks a new milestone within the company’s strategic initiatives.
The infrastructure, built on land of 30,000 square meterscomprises a construction footprint of approximately 10,200 square meters, including a workshop with initial capacity to service more than 50 vehicles daily, specialized areas, and spaces for innovative customer service and after-sales services.
Rodríguez stressed that Punta Cana It is a strategic region due to its expansion rateits contribution to the national GDP and the sustained growth of its resident and floating population.
These factors justified the opening of a robust and agile branchaligned with the evolution of the market and with the new mobility demands of the Eastern region.
The company reiterated its commitment to sustainability and social responsibility, which is evidenced by best practices that will be replicated in this branch of Punta Cana.
He explained that one of them is the corporate environmental program “Amber Atmosphere”focused on the reduction, reuse and responsible final disposal of waste generated in operations, ensuring a sustainable management and reducing the environmental footprint.
Furthermore, Rodríguez recalled that Santo Domingo Motors was the first company in the automotive sector to obtain certifications labor inclusion in gender and disability, and which, for the third consecutive year, has been certified with the Igualando RD seal, awarded by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
