A team from the Special Investigations Division (Divines) of the Anti-Drug Directorate (Dirandro) of the capital were the ones who carried out the intervention on a vehicle on a property in the town center of Somate Alto.
In the truck, the agents found 3,027 brick-type packages of cocaine alkaloid that were seized and placed at the disposal of the authorities and would be transported to Lima.
According to what was known, the drugs were being collected in said jurisdiction of the Alto Chira sector and then were going to be transferred to the port of the province of Paita and sent by sea abroad. Likewise, it was learned that the seized drug shipment would be taken to the capital, where the authorities will carry out the investigations.
It should be remembered that almost two years ago, the Police found several packages of drugs abandoned near the same area of Somate Alto, in the Alto Chira sector, where the drug traffickers were.
While one of the last interventions occurred on October 30, when police officers carried out an operation at the Port Terminal of the city of Paita and found in one of the containers, 40 “brick” packages of drugs that had the KTV logo and had a total of 48 kilos of cocaine hydrochloride.
