The Superior Electoral Court (TSE) concluded this Friday (5) the public security test of electronic voting machines that will be used in the 2026 presidential elections. The procedure, carried out since 2009, aims to provide transparency to the electoral process.
The tests began last Monday (1st) and were carried out by information technology specialists who signed up to participate in the event.
Participants carried out security tests on electronic voting machine equipment, including the components that record voters’ votes, transmit votes and the system’s source code.
According to the TSE, the experts found no relevant inconsistencies and guaranteed that the security of the voting system remains intact.
The first round of the 2026 elections will be held on October 4th. The second round is scheduled for October 25th.
