The head of the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), Ernestina Godoy Ramos, will add to her team of collaborators David Boone de la Garza, who worked in this federal administration as head of the General Unit of Legal Affairs and Transparency of the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), as well as the former prosecutor of Mexico City, Ulises Lara López.
According to FGR sources, Boone de la Garza, one of the trusted men of Omar García Harfuch, Secretary of Security, will be in charge of the Specialized Regional Control Prosecutor’s Office (Fecor), which has among its powers the designation of the heads of the FGR delegations in each entity.
Boone de la Garza, who completed his law degree at the Autonomous University of Coahuila, will occupy the position held by Germán Adolfo Castillo Banuet, indicated the sources consulted.
The new head of Fecor served in the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) as private secretary of the then head, Raúl Cervantes Andrade.
Meanwhile, Ulises Lara López, who was a delegate of the FGR in the state of Morelos, after his time as office manager in the capital’s prosecutor’s office replacing Godoy, will remain in charge of the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Competition Control (Fecoc), which was headed by Cristina de Urruti until the resignation of Alejandro Gertz Manero.
In accordance with the rules that govern the FGR, the head of the Fecoc is authorized to temporarily serve as office manager of the federal ministerial institution, as happened with Godoy after the resignation of Gertz Manero days ago.
