The Disenso Foundation will premiere the documentary “María Corina, the conquest of freedom” in Oslo. This presentation is the first activity on the agenda of activities that will accompany the Venezuelan dissidents in the Norwegian capital within the framework of the delivery of the Nobel Peace Prize to Venezuelan leader María Corina Machado. The presentation will take place on December 9, at 6 p.m., at the House of Oslo Auditorium (Ruseløkkveien 34).
The event will be chaired by the director of the Disenso Foundation and VOX MEP, Jorge Martin Friasand the MEP and vice-president of the Patriotas group Hermann Tertsch. As part of their agenda in Oslo, both will accompany the Venezuelans in the presentation of the Nobel Peace Prize to María Corina Machado.
The MEPs will be accompanied by the main voices of Venezuelan dissidence abroad and protagonists of the documentary: Magallí Meda, Claudia Macero, Orlando Avendaño and Alejandro Peña Esclusa. The president of VOX, of Patriots for Europe and from the Disenso Foundation, Santiago Abascal, also participates as a prominent voice in the documentary.
The documentary will be simulcast from Oslo on December 9 via the Disenso Foundation’s YouTube channel.
The short film highlights Machado’s career as a moral and political reference in the Venezuelan democratic struggle. In addition, it recounts her origins, her political career and the reasons why the leader has established herself as the main reference with the greatest international projection and legitimacy.
“María Corina, the conquest of freedom” is an original filming by the Disenso Foundation whose production has been developed on locations in Belgium, France, Spain, Italy, Panama and the United States.
Jorge Martín Frías pointed out that “since their founding, both VOX and the Disenso Foundation have been allies and companions of María Corina Machado in her fight for “the defense of democracy in Venezuela.”
The MEP added that “the commitment to the freedom of María Corina is truly global. His denunciation against the attacks on Freedom in Venezuela, in America and in Europe in forums such as the VIVA festival of VOX or the Patriots for Europe conference in Madrid, is clear and forceful and manifests his unwavering commitment to the values that we share and defend.”
