Starting this Saturday (6), four lines operated by the São Paulo Metro will operate 24 hours a day. Throughout the morning, passengers can board and disembark at all stations on lines 1-Blue, 2-Green, 3-Red and 15-Silver.
The measure will initially be adopted on an experimental basis, always moving from Saturday to Sunday, on every weekend until February 2026. The objective is to analyze the viability of the operation, to meet the long-standing demand of passengers and tourists looking for better ways of getting around to enjoy nightlife.
On the sections of Line 2-Green, between the Vila Madalena and Clínicas stations and between Sacomã and Vila Prudente, trains operate on a single track. On the rest of the route and on lines 1-Blue and 3-Red, the operation is carried out normally. It will not be possible to transfer to other subway and train lines in the early hours of the morning.
On Line 15-Silver, this first weekend, early morning service will be provided by free buses from the Paese system, due to tests with the new fleet train. After the test, the offer will be evaluated to meet demand for the following weekends.
During the early hours of the morning, the ticket offices will not be open. Passengers who do not have a Bilhete Único or TOP can purchase them from self-service machines, Google Wallet or WhatsApp.
On lines 1-Blue and 3-Red, entry can be made via contactless payment, with physical credit and debit cards. Throughout December this option will also be valid on lines 2-Green and 15-Silver.
