The Mayor of Río Branco highlighted the management that allowed electricity to be brought to the El Abasto neighborhood

The Mayor of the Municipality of Río Branco, Federico López, highlighted the joint work that allowed the El Abasto neighborhood and its 32 homes to finally access electricity service, a lack that has affected families in the area for years.

López highlighted the role of deputy Gisela Araujo, to whom he attributed a key boost in the efforts made before UTE and other organizations. “We must recognize the effort from day one. This was achieved together, leaving aside the parties and governing for the people,” he stated.

The mayor explained that El Abasto, like other peripheral neighborhoods such as Merody Pintos or Batalla y Silva, faces historical difficulties due to its suburban location and subdivision problems. However, he assured that there is a firm commitment from the Municipality to continue bringing basic services and improvements to the entire city.

He recalled that, in the previous period, with Christian Morel as Mayor, more than 20 neighborhoods were transformed, and he stressed that in this new stage work will be done to complete the areas that still await progress. “Each neighborhood has its times, but the Municipality’s commitment is real. We want progress to reach everyone,” held.

López also thanked the UTE team for its support, highlighting the technical work and coordination that allowed the completion of a project long awaited by the neighbors.
