Hair on the extreme right: no one knows what Maduro and Trump talked about

The secretary general of United Socialist Party of Venezuela (Psuv), Diosdado Cabello, questioned the speculations made by the sectors of the Venezuelan extreme right about the call between the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, and his counterpart from the United States (USA), Donald Trump.

During his program Con el Mazo Dando No. 554, he stated that those fascist sectors, which today believe they are experts in dialogue, are the same ones that a few months ago maintained that this conversation would not be possible.

“And they said: ‘Not my President Trump, plus he does not recognize Nicolás Maduro as president, what is he going to call him?’. The call happened, and now everyone is an expert in knowing what they talked about, none of them were there, none of them have the slightest idea,” he noted.

He specified that those who come out to say something about the call that both leaders held is part of their own war and fantasy. “Pure straw, that’s what the stupid opposition lives on,” he said.

“Despite that, President Nicolás Maduro has been quite respectful and has not even commented, the one who spoke was this man and said: we talked,” he noted and reaffirmed that this is part of the psychological war promoted by those sectors of the right to try to break the spirit and will to fight of the Venezuelan people.

The president of the Republic Nicolás Maduro confirmed this Wednesday that, in fact, he spoke by telephone with his American counterpart Donald Trumpand said that in his 6 years as chancellor of Commander Hugo Chávez, and in his experience as head of state, he has cultivated “diplomatic prudence.”

“In 6 years as chancellor I learned diplomatic prudence. I like prudence, not microphone diplomacy. When there are important things in silence, they have to be done,” said the president.

He then gave way to a brief explanation about the official call: “About 10 days ago we received a call from the White House,” he said about the communication he had with the American president. “The conversation was in a tone of respect, even cordial. I say more, if that call means that steps are being taken towards a respectful dialogue, welcome the dialogue, welcome the peace,” he said.

The conversation took place within the framework of the attacks that the United States unilaterally initiated against Venezuela, with the excuse of the fight against drug trafficking, a theory that at first seemed disproportionate because Venezuela was a country free of drug crops and not an exporter, but now looks much more absurd when it has become evident that the true intention is to seize the country’s oil resources.

In the interest of preserving peace, the president sent a message to the people of the United States, whom he said he knew widely. “The United States, its people and its youth, are tired of eternal wars, they have marks on their collective psychology and they say no more Vietnam, no more Afghanistan, no more Iran… I believe that the path of both peoples has to be a path of respect, diplomacy and dialogue,” he said.

He concluded the processing of the information by calling again for prudence and diplomacy. “I think I’m going to say that’s as far as I’m going to say, because I like diplomacy and respect. I’m very prudent, I learned it from Chávez,” he said.
