Pre-registration for physical activities at UDI began
The Municipality of Cerro Largo and the Board of Directors of UDI 3 de Diciembre announced an important benefit for members and non-members of the institution.
With the presence of the Interim Mayor, the Director of Social and Economic Development of the Departmental Government, the Head of Sports, the Coordinator of Sports Schools and the President of UDI, details of the initiative were given.
The press conference was held within the framework of the commemoration of International Disability Day.
“This is a house achieved and made with a lot of sacrifice and contribution, fundamentally from the entire disabled community and, in addition, from institutions that have always collaborated. This has been a house open to the entire town of Cerro Largo since its foundation” expressed the Dr. Pablo Duarte.
“We came here to take orders and disseminate the activities that will be carried out from now on” he added.
TO PROVIDE THE APPROPRIATE CARE
“The Departmental Government is one. Today the Directorate of Social Development together with the Sports Area are presenting this proposal. This is a faithful example of that reality” manifested Federico Perdomo.
The holding on Wednesday afternoon of the 1st Departmental Disability Meeting that took place at the Teacher Training Institute stood out.
“This speaks of a Departmental Government, from the Mayor to each of the officials who are part of this team, committed and working together in different areas, on different topics, truly making available the support, accompaniment and work together to provide them with the necessary tools so that, in this case, people with different disabilities have the attention they deserve and that corresponds” said the Director of Social and Economic Development of the Municipality.
PHYSICAL REHABILITATION AND BODY PRACTICES
Jorge Solari He recalled that this Wednesday, December 3, apart from being the International Day of People with Disabilities, marked the 31st anniversary of UDI-December 3.
“Together with the authorities of the Municipality, today we are starting a new path to make this center for physical rehabilitation and body practices start to take shape and start moving” said the President of UDI.
“We are going to open pre-registration for people interested in attending this center to make it operate better in 2026” he commented.
“This is one of the many things that we are surely going to put into operation with the Departmental Government, together with the Mayor and together with his Directors” said. “Ending the year in this way and on this day is a very good way to end the year, but at the same time a beginning to 2026 with everything that lies ahead” he added.
AN ADEQUATE PHYSICAL SPACE
“For several weeks we have been working on the possibility of landing certain proposals and activities in this beautiful physical space of UDI 3 that have to do mainly with physical rehabilitation and also with what has to do with proposals that involve social issues and also training” he told Professor Juan García.
In addition to physical rehabilitation, functional gymnastics classes and activities aimed at older adults will also be given.
