The Communist Party demands that Maduro report on negotiations with Trump

He Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV) demanded Nicolas Maduro inform in a manner “immediate and transparent” about the possible negotiations with his US counterpart, Donald Trumpin the midst of tensions over the US military deployment in the Caribbean.

Jackeline Lopeza member of the political bureau of the tolda, stated that the Venezuelan population does not know “what is being discussed or what agreements they intend to reach“with these conversations, after Sunday Trump will confirm that there was a call between both leaders.

We demand that the country be told with absolute clarity what is being negotiated. The exercise of national sovereignty cannot be done behind closed doors“declared the leader of the PCV, a party intervened by the Venezuelan Supreme Court of Justice.

In this sense, he said that Venezuela faces a complex situation, which is why he considered a “growing escalation of imperialist aggression in the Caribbean“, in reference to the American military mobilization, and rejected that Caribbean countries lend themselves to these maneuvers.

Specifically, he pointed out to the government of Trinidad and Tobago as “effective piece“of US operations in the region and accused him of adopting”genuflective and servile positions to imperialism“.

This Monday, Maduro described the US deployment in the Caribbean as “psychological terrorism”a day after Trump confirmed a call between the two, without giving details about the dialogue.

Maduro led a mobilization in Caracas, in which appointed and sworn in a new political bureau of twelve leaders of Chavismo and promised before his followers his “absolute loyalty“.

The escalation of tensions with the United States caused a wave of flight cancellations from and to Venezuela, after the notice of November 21 of the US Federal Aviation Administrationwhich recommended “exercise extreme caution“when flying over this country and the southern Caribbean.

This Monday, the Spanish Aviation Safety Agency (AESA) extended until December 31 its recommendation of Do not fly over the airspace of the Maiquetía airportwhich led to airlines Iberia, Plus Ultra and Air Europa to communicate new flight suspensions.

Venezuela, in response, revoked the operating concessions of seven international airlinesincluding this Monday the Spanish Plus Ultra.
