Weapons and substances worth 1,892 million pesos are seized from the drug trafficker

This weekend, the Security Cabinet caused multimillion-dollar damages to organized crime through the seizure of drugs, weapons and the disqualification of drug laboratories and chemical precursor warehouses.

According to two reports from the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC) released yesterday, these actions were carried out between November 28 and 30, representing an economic impact on drug trafficking of at least 1,892,447,000 pesos.

The most important seizures were recorded in Sinaloa. In the municipalities of Culiacán, Cosalá and Badiraguato, a clandestine laboratory and six narco warehouses with material for the production of synthetic drugs, where 9,115 liters and 4,135 kilos of substances to produce methamphetamine were seized, in addition to five organic synthesis reactors, seven condensers, nine LP gas tanks and a burner. According to official calculations, the value of what was seized exceeds 1,32 million pesos.

In Mazatlán, the Secretary of the Navy seized 605 kilos of methamphetamine and 21 packages with possible cocaine, fentanyl and other substances, with an estimated weight of 21 kilos, hidden in a false bottom of a cargo unit. Its price could reach up to 282.2 million pesos.

In the town of Puerto La Judía, in Choix, the Navy and the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) located a clandestine laboratory and confiscated 1,425 kilos of methamphetamines, 600 liters of chemical precursors, a reactor and various materials, with an economic impact on organized crime of 480.5 million pesos.

In Culiacán, the Mexican Army located and disabled three material concentration areas, where they seized 1,867 liters of chemicals and two centrifuges, valued at 37 million pesos.

In Ensenada, Baja California, the Army destroyed a drug warehouse and secured 2,250 liters of chemical precursors, whose value is estimated at 45 million pesos.

In Umán, Campeche, the Army, the National Guard, the FGR and the State Police inspected a vehicle from Guadalajara bound for Cancún, detained two people and seized 39 kilos of methamphetamine, 1,575 kilos of marijuana, 1.4 kilos of a solid and granulated substance, as well as vapers. The cost of the confiscated drugs amounts to 15.6 million pesos.

Finally, in San Andrés Cholula, Puebla, the National Guard, the Army and the FGR searched a property, detained a person dedicated to the transfer of methamphetamine and cocaine to the United States, from whom they seized a short weapon, three magazines, 33 cartridges, 400 fentanyl pills, 10 cell phones and two vehicles.
