Rutas de Lima announced that it will continue operating this December 2 at the tolls. This after the same company, in a previous statement, announced this day as the date on which it would abandon the road concession after maintaining that it lost all of its income due to the stoppage of toll collection at the Villa and Punta Negra stations.
In a recent letter addressed to the Metropolitan Municipality of Lima, Rutas de Lima reported that they are still evaluating how much longer they will be able to sustain their operations “by exhausting the company’s resources.” They added that on December 1 they held a meeting with the municipality which they described as “positive” beyond the “discrepant positions.”
