The Second Provincial Prosecutor’s Office Specialized in Violence against Women and Members of the Family Group of Huancayo obtained a sentence of 20 years of imprisonment against Cristofer Meza Colonio (22), identified as the author of a crime that violated the sexual freedom of a 16-year-old schoolgirl. The event occurred on January 1, 2024, in the district of El Tambo.

The ruling was achieved by the prosecutor’s team led by provincial prosecutor Andreey Ortega Vásquez, and supported in court by deputy prosecutor Pedro Jesús Núñez Romero, who presented evidentiary elements that led the court to establish the criminal responsibility of the accused, a graduate of a higher institute.
According to the tax investigation, the accused had maintained communication with the teenager since March 2023 through social networks. On the day of the event, he went to the minor’s home, where both spoke before the reported events occurred.

The teenager’s mother reported what happened to the authorities and requested police intervention, which allowed the arrest of the person under investigation and the initiation of the corresponding proceedings.
In addition to the penalty imposed, the referee established the payment of S/ 10,000 as civil compensation in favor of the victim.
