The Brazilian women’s football team faces Portugal, starting at 4:45 pm (Brasília time) next Tuesday (2) at the Aveiro Municipal Stadium (Portugal), in its last match in 2025.
This is Brazil’s second commitment on this tour on European soil. In the first, last Friday (28), the team led by coach Arthur Elias was defeated by Norway by a score of 3-1, at the Ciudad de La Línea Municipal Stadium, which is in the province of Cádiz, in Spain. The result ended an eight-match unbeaten streak for the green and yellow team.
In a press conference held this Monday (1), Arthur Elias stated that the friendly match with the Portuguese team is of great importance in Brazil’s preparation process for the 2027 World Cup: “Portugal has raised its level, playing at home with the support of the fans, the team is in a good moment. I see that it will be another great game, a great test for us. We are happy with the year that has passed for our team. We see this game as a fundamental game”.
Defender Isabela, who plays for PSG (France), stated that she expects a good performance from the Brazilian team against the Portuguese team: “The Brazilian team is on a good run, already aiming for the 2027 World Cup. For this duel we prepared very well, despite it being just one day of training with all the athletes, but it was a very good training session. I believe we will play an excellent match, better than the last one, and come away with a victory.”
