President Alberto Fernández met this Monday with the Minister of Agriculture, Julián Domínguez, to analyze measures in the face of the increase in prices registered by various products that Argentina exports and that impact the national economy, reported official sources, who They clarified that an increase in export duties “can only be done by Congress.”
According to official sources confirmed to the press accredited at Casa Rosada, the head of state maintained contact with Domínguez and with other ministers from the economic area during the weekend.
Regarding this Monday’s meeting, although it was reported that the meeting would take place at Government House, it was later clarified that it took place in the morning hours at Quinta de Olivos.
On the other hand, they anticipated that measures could be known in the next few hours.
“You have to raise the issue of raising withholdings; that can only be done by Congress,” said spokesmen close to Fernandez.
