In Cerro Largo there will be 7 schools and there will be aquatic activities
From this Monday, December 1, until Friday, December 12 inclusive, registrations are received for a new Edition of Summer Schools – formerly Educational Summer -, a Program carried out annually by the General Directorate of Initial and Primary Education.
All boys and girls who attend public educational centers throughout the country may be part of this proposal.
The activities will take place between 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday, with the exception of the department of Maldonado where the hours will be extended until 5 p.m. due to an existing agreement with the Fernandina Municipality due to the high incidence of the summer season, where many parents dedicate the day to work.
Summer Schools will begin on Thursday, January 8 and will end on Thursday, February 5, 2026.
SCHOOLS IN CERRO LARGO
According to official information from the General Directorate of Initial and Primary Education of the ANEP, in the department of Cerro Largo there will be 7 schools that will operate during next summer.
These are educational centers Numbers 10, 11, 75, 114 and 119 in the city of Melo, 99 in Isidoro Noblía and 138 in Río Branco.
As has been happening for many years, there will be an agreement between primary education and the Club Unión Board of Directors for the use of the institution’s pool for the development of aquatic activities, one of the components that make the proposal even more attractive and one of the favorites for the little ones.
THROUGH GURÍ FAMILIA
Parents of children who are interested in having their children participate in Summer Schools must register them before December 12 through the Gurí Familia Platform.
Education authorities estimate that about 10,000 will be enjoying a wide variety of recreational activities as well as educational outings from the first days of the new year.
Summer Schools or Educational Summer as it is popularly known are based on recreation, a balanced diet designed by Graduates in Nutrition and a series of workshops with a recreational, but at the same time didactic, focus that seeks to reinforce knowledge acquired during the school year.
It should be remembered that the Team of each headquarters school where the Program will operate must present a project to develop during the month that it lasts.
