Authorities rescued a minor illegally recruited and released nine kidnapped in a Gaula operation in the rural area of Huila.
In a recent operation carried out by the Gaula of the National Police, it was possible to rescue a minor who had been illegally recruited by members of the FARC dissidents in the rural area of the municipality of La Plata (Huila).
Mayor Annie Urbano, a member of the Police Children and Adolescents Protection Group, revealed that this operation not only allowed the rescue of the minor, but, simultaneously, the release of nine people who remained kidnapped for approximately forty-five days in the same area.

“The release of nine people who were kidnapped in the rural area of La Plata was achieved. In the same procedure, a 17-year-old teenager who, apparently, was being recruited by an illegal armed group, was also rescued,” said the officer.
The uniformed officer indicated that during the operation, and after investigative and intelligence work, it was possible to capture two people who are apparently responsible for the illegal retention of the victims, including the rescued minor. These people must respond to the competent authorities for the crime of kidnapping.
Likewise, he assured that the 17-year-old minor received specialized care through the Childhood and Adolescence Group of the National Police, activating the comprehensive protection route.

“The minor was placed at the disposal of the Colombian Institute of Family Welfare (ICBF)competent authority to advance the administrative process of reestablishing their rights,” he added.
Finally, it is expected that the young man will also be part of the protection route for children and adolescents rescued or separated from the armed conflict.
