Between monumental figures and institutional nods, the Institute celebrated a democratic operation that was literally proof of everything.

The voices in Coparmex consider that the new General Law against Extortion marks an advance long demanded by citizens and companies: a uniform framework to stop a crime that eats away at investment, employment and peace of mind. Within the organization the step is celebrated, but they warn that without a budget, training and state approval there will be no results. With more severe penalties, protection for victims and blocking operations from prisons, the law opens a real opportunity to recover productive routes and return security to communities and businesses.
