According to a report by journalist Sebastiana Barráez published in Infobae, Captain Javier Nieto Quintero, spokesperson for the Active Coalition of the Venezuelan International Reserve (Carive), was in charge of communicating this warning. “We are about to carry out military operations in favor of the freedom of Venezuela… that is the number one objective of our institution.”

“The Republic is mired in deep degradation… This structure power must be held accountable for their actions,” the spokesperson said.
Call to the political and business elite
The message was not only a warning to the government, but an ultimatum to opposition leaders, businessmen and social figures who maintain an ambiguous position. Captain Nieto Quintero demanded these sectors to abandon lukewarmness and support publicly the intervention. “Carive them demands that they come out to show their faces and encourage the people so that they can give a round of applause to the Southern Command.”
Likewise, the group directly thanked figures in American politics, such as President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, for “reach out” to the Venezuelan cause, suggesting a direct alignment with strategies of maximum pressure from the north.
To justify the imminence and necessity of this operation, the spokesperson evoked bloody episodes from recent Venezuelan historyciting crimes that, in his opinion, make coexistence with the current system impossible.

The Active Coalition of the Venezuelan International Reserve is defined as an independent organization, without ties to political parties or economic interests. Its profile is clearly nationalist and military, operating with delegations in several countries and seeking alliances with democratic states to carry out what they call a “legitimate multinational military intervention.”
