What data can you see in the Sipres?

The Sipres is a public registry managed by Condusef which brings together financial institutions authorized to operate in Mexico.

Its creation obeys the provisions of the Law for the Protection and Defense of Users of Financial Services (LPDUSF), which requires regulated financial service providers to register in this catalogue.

On its public web portal, Sipres allows you to consult a variety of useful data about each registered institution.

Among the information available are the tax and commercial addressthe legal-administrative status, the type of financial entity, the minimum fixed capital, the date of authorization and registration, as well as the existence of user service units (UNES).

In Sipres you can find information on entities such as banks, Sofipos, Sofomes, SOCAPs, investment companies, brokerage houses or exchange houses.

If one financial institution does not appear registered in Sipres implies that it is either not constituted as such or does not comply with current regulations.
