Soldier found dead who had been missing for four days in Dabeiba, Antioquia

They condemn a four -month prison soldier for the crime of dropout

The National Army confirmed the discovery of the body of the professional soldier Yiminson Mosquera Pereawho had been missing since November 24, 2025 in Antioquia.

According to the military entity, the body was found after a intense search carried out with the support of the Civil Defense, Firefighters, Ombudsman’s Office and the ICRC.

The soldier disappeared in the middle of fighting against alleged members of the Edwin Román Velásquez Valle Substructure of the Clan del Golfo, in the Lopia village of the municipality of Dabeiba, Antioquia.

The Army mourned the death of the soldier and sent condolences to his family, for whom a interdisciplinary team who will provide support and accompaniment.

Regarding the causes of death, a Forensic Medicine report is awaited. In this confrontation, the non-commissioned officer also lost his life. Danilo Fernando Meneses Betancourt.

The Clan del Golfo recognized the confrontation on November 24 against the Carlos Bejarano Muñoz Battalion, admitting the death of one of its members and the disappearance of Mosquera Perea.

The Army assured that it will continue advancing military operations in the region to protect the civilian population and strengthen the security of the territory.
