The Venezuelan Observatory of Trade Union Freedom denounced the arbitrary detention of José Elías Torres, general secretary of the Confederation of Venezuelan Workers (CTV) on November 29 by the Bolivarian National Police (PNB).

“José Elías Torres is a workers’ delegate to the ILO, is part of the Social Dialogue Forum and is a prominent union leader,” the organization wrote.
