Since the beginning of the pandemic, Brazil has recorded 655,249 deaths from covid-19, according to the epidemiological bulletin released today (14) by the Ministry of Health. The total number of confirmed cases of the disease is 29,380,063.
In 24 hours, 11,287 cases were recorded. In the same period, 171 deaths were confirmed because of the virus.
On Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays, the daily number tends to be lower due to the difficulty of feeding the data banks by the municipal and state secretariats. On Tuesdays, the number is generally higher due to the update of cases accumulated on weekends.
Also according to the bulletin, 27,838,793 people have recovered from the disease and 886,021 cases are being monitored.
States
São Paulo leads the number of cases, with 5.1 million, followed by Minas Gerais (3.26 million) and Paraná (2.38 million). The lowest number of cases is registered in Acre (123,300). Then appears Roraima (154.5 thousand) and Amapá (160.2 thousand).
Regarding deaths, São Paulo has the highest number of deaths (166,119), followed by Rio de Janeiro (72,233) and Minas Gerais (60,354). The lowest number of deaths is in Acre (1,989), Amapá (2,119) and Roraima (2,140).
