The Police confirmed that the case reported on the Cali–Jamundí road was not a kidnapping, it was an attack in which a driver was injured.
In the last few hours, images of what could be a alleged kidnapping perpetrated on the road that connects Cali with Jamundí in the department of Valle del Cauca.
According to what has been learned, the incident took place in the morning hours of Wednesday, November 26, when a group made up of several men traveling on motorcycles intercepted a vehicle in the middle of the road.
For several minutes, a struggle was observed between the criminals and one of the occupants of the car, who would be the victim of this incident. In the midst of the confusion, several passersby viewed the scene with suspicion.

Given this, La FM contacted the Cali Metropolitan Police to find out more details about what happened and they report that It was not a case of kidnapping, but rather an attack on the life of the driver of a vehicle.
“They did take the man out of the car and shoot him, but at this moment he is in a clinic recovering from what happened. He hasn’t died. It was not a kidnapping, but an attempted murder“said a police source.
Concern for Security in Valle del Cauca
The actions of armed groups have become a matter of concern for the authorities of Valle del Cauca. Given this, the governor Dilian Francisca Toro stated that the crisis has worsened in recent months thanks to policies such as ‘total peace’.
