The Foreign Minister of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez, denounced the “persistent electromagnetic interference in the Caribbean, particularly over the airspace of Venezuela.”
The official pointed out that these interferences are caused by the United States military deployment in the Caribbean as “part of the escalation of military aggression and psychological warfare against Venezuelan territory.”

In mid-August, the United States ordered a military deployment to the Caribbean to fight drug trafficking cartels. In these operations they have destroyed about 20 boats where about 80 people who were allegedly transporting drugs have died.
