Brazil ends the first phase of the World Cup with 9-0 over Panama

The Brazilian team beat Panama 9-0, this Saturday (29) at the PhilSports Arena, in Manila (Philippines), and confirmed first place in Group D of the women’s futsal World Cup. With this Saturday’s victory, the green and yellow team closed the first phase of the World Cup with 100% success, after the triumphs over Iran, 4-1, and against Italy, 6-1. In this way, the Brazilian team reaches the quarterfinals together with Argentina, Morocco, Spain, Colombia, Portugal and Italy.

Against Panama, Brazil needed less than a minute to open the scoring thanks to Rangel’s own goal. From then on, the Canarian team increased its advantage with goals from Camila, Vanin, Tampa (three), Luciléia (two) and Simone.

“We know that we had games in which we encountered a little more difficulty, but, especially against Italy, we played a very good match. We managed to fit in everything we trained during this period. Now it’s total concentration, because it’s a knockout game and we can’t make mistakes. It’s putting even more of Brazil on the court”, declared the Tampa wing in an interview with CBF TV.
