Inspectors of Pro Consumer make a verification operation in commercial establishments Santiago to ensure that the offers of the Black Friday are real and not misleading.
The director of the entity, Eddy Alcantaraexplained that, since previous days, technicians from the institution visited different businesses to verify that the prices offered do not differ from those observed before the discount season.
“Today our technicians went out to verify that the prices in offers are not the ones we saw during the visit,” said Alcántara.
The official assured that there will be no summons during the day.
He highlighted that the inspectors are highly trained and know in detail the market behavior.
“They know what moves and what fluctuates, the average cost of each product“, said.

He added that they have specialized personnel both in food, appliances, drinks and other areas to identify if any prices have been altered.
- According to Alcántara, the objective is avoid practices which, according to complaints, occurred before 2021, when consumers were surprised with false discounts.

This Friday morning, Alcántara took a tour of several establishments, including Ágora Mall Santiago and La Sirena de El Embrujo, while other inspectors continued supervision in different commercial areas of the city.
During the visit, Carlos José Cruz Escarramánrepresentative of Jumboguaranteed that the offers presented by the company are real.
He called on customers to trust the discounts availableensuring that in the appliance line they can save between 20 and 40%, depending on the type of payment they use.
