Within the framework of International Women’s Day, President Luis Arce announced on Tuesday the launch of a “Comprehensive FELCV”, the provision of social housing for women victims of violence, the strengthening of female production units and the creation of jobs in the construction sector.
The president explained that an infrastructure will be provided to the Special Force to Fight Violence (FELCV) in the cities of La Paz, Cochabamba and Santa Cruz with the aim of strengthening plans against violence against women.
In this context, he asked the mayors to grant the land for the construction of these facilities, whose novelty is that it will concentrate offices of the Prosecutor’s Office, the Judicial Branch, the Police and other services with professionals, including doctors, social workers and psychologists, among others.
“We will launch the projects of the Integral FELCV, starting in the central axis, La Paz, Cochabamba, Santa Cruz, so that it has the presence of institutions that carry out the entire procedure that involves an act of violence from the receipt of the complaint. until the culmination of judicial processes”, explained the president in the middle of a concentration of women in the Murillo square alluding to the date, cites an institutional bulletin of the Presidency.

In this context, Arce explained that within the plans that his office promotes is the program to provide housing for women who take care of the home and who were victims of violence.
Likewise, the business seal “Safe companies free of violence” is enlisted, the economic autonomy program with the aim of strengthening the productive units led by women applying the gender approach and the job creation program for women in the sector of the building.
In this context, one of the premises that the Special Projects Unit (UPRE) will have is to prioritize the execution of works with construction companies that have 50% or more women on their payroll.
Arce assured that other measures are being prepared in order to promote the collective construction of a decent life for Bolivian women.
