Santo Domingo Este. – The president Luis Abinader, in his role as Supreme Authority of the Armed Forces and the National Police, This Friday he headed the graduation of the Sixty-Fourth Class of Cadets “Félix María Ruiz” of the “Batalla de Las Carreras” Military Academycorresponding to the period 2022-2025.
The ceremony began with the style honors to the president and the transfer of command of the Flag Guard, in an act full of solemnity and military tradition.
The director of the Academy, Brigadier Generalto Raúl Esteban Mora Hernández, urged the graduates to maintain the fundamental values of the institution and highlighted President Abinader’s support for military modernization processes.
During the event, 50 new second lieutenants received their diplomas as graduates in Military Sciences and Infantry Officers. Also recognized were cadets Kleiner Omar Sosa, Honor Graduate, and Carolina Silvana Pérez, Distinguished Graduate.
The ceremony included the reading of the General Promotion Orderthe imposition of insignia and the taking of the oath led by the president,
As a symbol of authority, the newly dressed received their rings and command sabers, the latter delivered directly by the head of state.
The event concluded with the performance of the Academy Anthem and the official promotion photo. The minister of Defense, Carlos Antonio Fernández Onofre; the minister of Interior and Police, Faride Raful; the commanding general of Army, Jorge Iván Camino Pérezand other civil and military authorities.
