In the first seconds of the second half it was Turihuano who scored the only goal that Bolivia’s feat had given him up to that point, although the locals could not hold on to the result. It was Rodríguez who broke the resistance of the Bolivian goalkeeper and gave the coffee team the relief of not losing the undefeated record. In the end Colombia had some attempts but could not define due to lack of precision when scoring, while Bolivia ended up defending the goal at all costs.
