The opposition leader María Corina Machado issued a message this Thursday on the occasion of Thanksgiving Day, which is celebrated in the United States, in which he expressed his gratitude for his country, his family and the fight for freedom in Venezuela.
Through her social networks, the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize winner shared a text full of symbolism and hope, in the midst of a political context marked by the expectation of change.
“I thank God for being born in this noble land; for being Venezuelan. I thank God for being part of this brave and generous generation. I thank God for my family; my pillar, my refuge and my driving force. I thank God for the certainty that we will soon bring our children back home and reunite our families forever,” Machado wrote in his X account, where he also highlighted the values of “human dignity and Freedom” as the axes of the fight he leads.
Although Thanksgiving is traditionally celebrated in the United States, the publication has generated multiple reactions on social networks, where followers and sympathizers have shared messages of support and have replicated his words as a symbol of resistance and faith in political change.
