Yape announced that Yaperos can now receive their salary directly in the application. The option is available to all yaperos who have a Yape account in their name.
The steps are simple, the yapero must choose Yape as the payment method in his employment contract and share with his employer the cell phone number linked to his Yape account. When the payment is made, you will receive a notification and will be able to see the details of your movements.
“With this launch we reaffirm our purpose of facilitating the day-to-day life of our Yape people, since they will be able to receive their salaries only with their cell phone number. In addition, it is one more step in promoting the financial and digital inclusion of our country,” mentioned Claudia Silva, head of Yape Payments.
It should be noted that this functionality is possible, thanks to the joint work with Telecrédito BCP, the business platform for financial operations, which has just activated Yape Mass Payments.
“The salary payment functionality through Yape is a relief for companies and their workers, since some face challenges in opening accounts and managing the delivery of cards. Paying their salaries in Yape represents an operational improvement and is a reflection of BCP’s commitment to generating solutions that facilitate their operations,” commented Giovanni Terzano, Manager of the Digital Products and Channels Division for companies at BCP.
Terzano added that, to enable payments, the employing company needs to access BCP Telecredit and go to “Pagos Masivos Yape” or contact its BCP official.
Yape currently has more than 15 million active users.
