The Plenary of Congress will vote on November 28 on the budget public 2026 next year which amounts to S/257,562 million. Parliament began the debate on this issue last Tuesday with the presence of Ernesto Álvarez’s cabinet.
Yesterday, the congressmen continued with this process, however, an intermission room was requested to evaluate the parliamentarians’ requests, so everything will resume tomorrow starting at 10 am
During participation in the plenary session, the populist measures were immediate. Parliamentarian José María Balcázar (PL bench) requested financing the 20 universities created by Law 32461, as he pointed out that none of them appear considered in the proposal sent by the Executive.
Meanwhile, Heydi Juárez (PP bench) requested the full appointment of healthcare professionals and technicians in the Health sector, in accordance with the final complementary provision of Law 31638.
Congressman Ilich López, third vice president of Congress, requested regulatory adjustments and improvements for state personnel. “I want the review of acts issued on property and furniture to be presented to be incorporated into the text. Meanwhile, legislator Alfredo Azurín (SP bench) proposed that the Plenary incorporate a new remuneration structure for technicians and non-commissioned officers of the Armed Forces and the National Police.
