Authorities of the Scientific Criminal and Criminal Investigations Corps (Cicpc) presented recognitions, decorations and the Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze Crab to their officials, during the promotion ceremony to the immediate higher hierarchy, in order to recognize the arduous work they carry out in favor of criminal scientific investigation in the country.
Within the framework of the institution’s twenty-fourth anniversary, the vice minister of the Integrated Criminal Investigation System, Danny Ferrer Sandrea, led the event, highlighting the laudable task they have carried out in favor of scientific research, as an auxiliary body of the Public Ministry for the clarification of criminal cases.
“On behalf of President Nicolás Maduro and the Sectoral Vice President of Citizen Security and Peace Policy, Diosdado Cabello, may you receive this important recognition as reliable proof of the extraordinary investigative practices that our Cicpc has, and we are fully proud and certain that justice will always prevail,” he expressed.
They recognize work in neutralizing the failed terrorist attack in Plaza Venezuela
A representation of the Bolivarian National Intelligence Service (Sebin), the General Directorate of Military Counterintelligence (Dgcim), the Bolivarian National Police Corps (Cpnb) and the Scientific Criminal and Criminal Investigations Corps (Cicpc), received the Platinum Crab for the third time, for their outstanding work in neutralizing the failed attack in the vicinity of Plaza Venezuela.
While the Golden Crab was delivered to the Cicpc Criminal Investigation Unit, for the work carried out during the search and subsequent neutralization of Wilexis Acevedo, alias “el Wilexis”, an event that occurred in the community in Petare in January 2025.
The Silver Crab was awarded to the Redip Oriental Monagas state delegation, for the development of investigations and clarification of two homicides in the town.
Finally, the Bronze Award was received by the Computer Crime Investigation Division, for the dismantling of a child pornography network that operated nationally and internationally.
“These recognitions are for you in the name of the country and also in the name of so many good men and women, who today, thanks to the action of our investigation and security bodies in the perfect fusion of Popular, Military and Police, can live in peace and tranquility,” concluded Ferrer Sandrea.
Venezuela participates in the 93rd General Assembly of Interpol in Morocco
On the other hand, the Ministry of Interior Relations, Justice and Peace reported that the director general of International Police of the Vice Ministry of the Integrated Criminal Investigation System (Visiip), Howard Timaure, representing the National Central Office (OCN), Caracas-Venezuela, participates in the 93rd General Assembly of Interpol, which is being held in the city of Marrakech, Morocco.
From the beginning of the activities and in a space dedicated to dialogue and international cooperation, Timaure was integrated into previous meetings with police authorities from around the world.
It should be noted that during this global meeting new strategies to confront transnational crime will be addressed, in order to strengthen cooperation between member countries; in addition to reaffirming Venezuela’s commitment to building a more solid and coordinated security system.
