Monte Plata.- The executive director of the Civil Defense and president of the CNE, Juan Salas, led this Wednesday the swearing-in of Juan Camilo Amparo Aquino as the new provincial director of Monte Plata, within the plan to renew and strengthen the local structures of the institution.
Amparo Aquino, a technician with more than ten years of experience in the institution, replaces Ángel Andújar, who attended to the province’s emergencies for the last four years.
The event was attended by members of the Prevention, Mitigation and Response Committee (C-PMR), as well as the deputy director and head of operations, Delfín Rodríguez, in charge of coordinating the work with the new director.
Salas highlighted that his management is committed to renewed leadership so that the Monte Plata office continues to strengthen preventive and response work, consolidating itself as a more prepared and equipped reference in the region. “We are leaving Monte Plata in good hands,” he said.
Likewise, Salas, together with the administrative manager Lidio Tejeda, announced that the province will soon receive rescue equipment valued at more than one million pesos, donated by Global Support and Development (GSD) within the framework of the “Strengthened” project.
Governor Rafaela Javier Gomera participated in the event and reaffirmed her support for Salas’ vision and inter-institutional coordination to guarantee the protection of citizens.
The new director thanked the appointment and promised to work with the authorities and the community to consolidate a more prepared, safe and strengthened province.
