A woman who came to visit the Puerto Maldonado Penitentiary Establishment (Madre de Dios)was discovered with an apparent load of drugs, the same one that she had hidden in her private parts.
The person intervened was identified as Imelda (35), who, during the body search upon entering the prison, was intervened due to her nervousness, and was transferred to a special room for a second inspection.
By order of the director of the prison, the fact was communicated to the representative of the Public Ministry, prosecutor Maruja Mora, in her presence the intervened citizen was taken to the Santa Rosa Hospital to continue with the proceedings in accordance with the law.
At the scene, the doctor on duty extracted: 30 plastic wrappers, four light blue pills and a plastic wrapper nine centimeters in diameter weighing approximately 200 grams, presumably containing cannabis sativa (marijuana).
After the intervention, the victim was transferred to the Specialized Anti-Drug Unit to continue with the proceedings. The woman mentioned that these substances would have been requested by the inmate Alfredo T., who appears in the visiting system as her cohabitant.
