The Minister of Defense, Pedro Sánchez, assured that both alias Calarcá and alias Mordisco are criminals who must be captured.

Hence, so far this year, the Military Forces have only carried out bombings against the Gulf Clan and the dissidents of ‘Mordisco’.

Faced with the wave of criticism over the chat revelations, the Minister of Defense, Pedro Sánchezannounced that the respective investigations will be carried out.
Furthermore, he reiterated that the top leaders of the dissidents are criminals who must be prosecuted. “It is necessary to call things by their name… alias Calarcá and alias Mordisco are criminals,” said the minister.

Sánchez also stated that the Military Forces They attack all criminal groups equally and that there is no impunity against any.
“The position of the Colombian State is clear… highly dangerous individuals who have sown violence, recruited minors, promoted kidnapping, extortion, illegal mining and drug trafficking will be persecuted until they are brought to justice,” he added.
In his message, he explained what is happening with the dissidents of alias Calarcá: although he has a suspended arrest warrant by the Total Peace Law, “this does not constitute a safe conduct to commit a crime.”
He added that if the Public Force finds any individual, including him, in flagrante delicto, will immediately proceed to capture him.

Investigation
Faced with the controversy, the Commander of the Military Forces, Admiral Francisco Cubidesannounced that investigations will be carried out to clarify the facts.

Cubides added that measures will be implemented to avoid acts of corruption and guarantee the act transparent of all members of the Public Force.
“I ratify our policy of zero tolerance for illegality and we reject any conduct that deviates from the Constitution and the law,” concluded Admiral Cubides.
