The return of the suspended fiscal of the Nation, Delia EspinozaYou’ll have to wait. The judge of the Ninth Constitutional Court, Juan Torres Tasso, decided to grant two more days to the National Board of Justice (JNJ) for Espinoza Valenzuela to resolve the situation. The first deadline given to the JNJ expired last Monday, November 24 at midnight; However, the owner of the Public Ministry was not answered.
Likewise, the magistrate rejected Espinoza’s request to declare the JNJ in contempt and the withdrawal of Tomás Gálvez as interim head of the Public Ministry. In addition, the judge declared inadmissible the request of the suspended supreme prosecutor to “enable the day and time for the execution of her precautionary measure.”
Upon leaving the headquarters of the JudiciaryEspinoza regretted the decision of Judge Torres Tasso and warned that said delay would harm his return because, as he said, since the Congress his disqualification for 10 years would be voted on.

“They give him two more days again, which are going to turn into four for a purely legal, procedural issue, I’m not going to go into details. But that’s not the worst, the worst thing is that in exactly five days they’re going to want in the Congress dismiss me, as simple as that, because what they have voted for today in five days, they want to call the Plenary so that, in that case, since I have no participation, they can vote and get rid of me,” he warned.
Along the same lines, Espinoza assured that he told the magistrate about his error when notifying the precautionary measure granted so that he could return to the Prosecutor’s Office. However, the judge made the decision to give two more days. “He has his criteria and I can’t do more,” said the suspended head of the Public Ministry.
In short, if Judge Torres sends the notification to the JNJ today, the deadline to reinstate Espinoza would end on Thursday, November 27 at midnight.
