José Pastor Garfides Torres, 18 years old, was detained by the Cicpc due to his alleged involvement in the murder of Pedro José Arteaga (68), but when he was being interrogated, he admitted that he also killed the 3-year-old boy, Yeiber Antonio Faneites Frailan.
Both crimes occurred in Aroa (Yaracuy). The Yeiber boy was reported missing on March 23. After José Pastor’s confession, the subject led the police commission to the place where he had buried the baby, that is, to the patio of his house which is also in the Victoria de Bolívar community, Aroa. The alleged murderer is a neighbor of the child, whom he took from the yard of his house, taking advantage of the fact that his mother had gone out to look for firewood. He then murdered him by mechanical asphyxiation and buried him, according to initial reports.
A team from the National Forensic Sciences Service (Senamecf) accompanied Cicpc agents on Sunday in the unearthing of the skeletal remains.
The bones will be subjected to technical-scientific studies to corroborate that it is Yeiber Antonio, reported Antonio Peña, Secretary of Citizen Security of Yaracuy.
Yeiber was the youngest of six siblings. His mother, who is pregnant, was detained in the first days of the child’s disappearance. And the father is being held under investigation because he allegedly prostituted his daughters.
Blocked and stabbed
And regarding the murder of Pedro José Arteaga, Peña indicated that this man was drinking alcoholic beverages with José Pastor, who threw him to the ground, dropped a block on his head and then wounded him with a knife until he died; event that occurred last Sunday in Aroa.
”In the middle of the drinks they began to have heavy games and argued,” said the Secretary of Citizen Security of Yaracuy, according to official social networks.
