Foreign Minister of Israel joins the extravagant attacks against Venezuela

The statements by Israel’s Foreign Minister, Gideon Saar, in which he accused Venezuela of being the “nexus” in South America of the Islamist groups Hezbollah and Hamas, as well as the Houthi rebels of Yemen, are part of the usual antics of Zionism against anyone who criticizes the genocide in Gaza.

In a speech before the Parliament of Paraguay, Saar stated that “criminals are building narcoterrorism alliances with the Middle East” and pointed to Venezuela as the center of that alleged network. However, his words lack evidence and are part of the criminalization strategy that Israel deploys against governments and movements that denounce the massacre of the Palestinian people.

The Israeli foreign minister, considered one of the officials who has contributed the most to the policy of extermination against Palestine, is among the leaders of that country with arrest warrants in several nations for war crimes and human rights violations. His accusations against Venezuela seek to divert international attention and reinforce the diplomatic siege against those who show solidarity with the Palestinian resistance.

Saar maintained that “Israel now faces three terrorist states in the Middle East,” referring to Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hamas in Gaza and the Houthis in Yemen, and warned that its cooperation extends to Africa and Latin America. These statements, without verifiable support, aim to present Venezuela as a destabilizing actor and legitimize the Israeli narrative of isolation against countries that question its crimes in Gaza.

Saar’s visit to Paraguay, accompanied by businessmen and with an agenda in Argentina, is part of an attempt to expand Israeli diplomatic influence in the region, while his government faces growing international complaints of genocide and crimes against humanity against the Palestinian people.

Likewise, these accusations align with the United States policy towards Venezuela, marked by systematic attacks and sanctions without solid evidence, which seek to weaken the government of Nicolás Maduro and justify measures of international pressure. The coincidence between the Israeli and the American discourse reveals a shared strategy of criminalization against Venezuela, aimed at isolating it on a diplomatic and economic level.
