He Supervisory Body for Investment in Public Use Transportation Infrastructure (Ositrán) officially approved the Unified Airport Use Fee (TUUA) applicable to transfer passengers in the Jorge Chavez International Airportin a decision adopted during the extraordinary session 820-2025-CD-OSITRÁN.
The measure establishes that, until December 31, 2030, connecting passengers will pay the following rates:
- International passengers in transfer (INT-INT): US$ 10.05 per passenger.
- National passengers in transfer (DOM-DOM): US$ 6.32 per passenger.
These rates are lower than those provisionally approved and, according to the statement, “are the product of an exhaustive analysis carried out by the members of the Board of Directors and the technical team of Ositrán.”
The statement highlights that the Board of Directors regained quorum on September 11, after almost two years of inactivity, and that its first action was to review the arguments presented by users of the airport infrastructure.
This led to the call for an extraordinary session of the Airport Users Council on September 22, in order to collect their positions regarding the transfer TUUA.
The decision is part of a process that, according to Ositrán, has been transparent, participatory and subject to institutional control. In addition, a reconnaissance visit to the facilities for transfer passengers was included as the final part of the procedure.
LAP is pronounced
Lima Airport Partners (LAP), concessionaire of the Jorge Chávez International Airport, reported that the Board of Directors of Ositrán approved the Unified Airport Use Rate (TUUA) for Transfer, in compliance with the Concession Contract and its Addendum 6.
The fixed rates are:
- USD 10.05 (+IGV) for passengers on international connection (INT-INT).
- USD 6.32 (+IGV) for passengers on national connection (DOM-DOM), the collection of which remains suspended while negotiations with the MTC continue.
The charge for passengers on international connections will come into effect on December 7. LAP specified that, although the ideal would be to include the fare in the air ticket, the airlines have not implemented it, so alternative payment mechanisms will be enabled: online platform, agents with mobile POS and in-person modules at the airport.
The company stressed the importance of airlines informing passengers in transit in a timely manner to avoid confusion and highlighted that Ositrán’s decision ratifies the right to apply the rate. LAP reaffirmed its commitment to the modernization of Jorge Chávez as a platform for regional development.
