Mirassol came very close to confirming its place in the group stage in the next edition of the Copa Libertadores da América after defeating Ceará by a score of 3-0, on Monday night (24) in Maião, in Mirassol, in the 35th round of the Brazilian Championship.

With this result, Leão reached 63 points in 4th place in the classification, getting closer to the direct place for the next edition of the main club competition in South America. Vozão continues to be at risk of falling to the second division, as it is 14th with 42 points.
Playing at home, Mirassol didn’t take long to open the scoring. After just two minutes, Negueba had to shoot twice to beat goalkeeper Bruno Ferreira. Still in the initial stage, at 22, Leão expanded with full-back Reinaldo, with a free kick.
After the break, Leão counted on a beautiful goal from striker Alesson, in the 30th minute, to give final numbers to the scorer.
Also this Monday, Santos drew with Internacional, in Porto Alegre, in a clash that involved two teams fighting to escape relegation. Midfielder Alan Patrick opened the scoring for Colorado and Barreal left everything the same for Peixe.
