The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, stated this Monday in his usual program with Maduro + number 98 that, “all the criminal gangs have been organic, and one by one we have been destroying them, pulverizing them,” thanks to the State security forces.
The president expressed that, from the peace quadrants, as well as the Sebin, Bolivarian National Police, Cicpc and the National Guard, they have worked together to “have these successes.”
Terrorist cell dismantled in Barinas
The president’s statements arise from the recent news of the death of alias “light bulb”, former member of the defunct criminal and terrorist organization led by alias Wilexis.
“The extreme right, with the support of the US empire, made a big bet on feeding from Colombia with drugs and the mafia of Álvaro Uribe (former president of Colombia), the criminal gangs throughout the country; both the Wilexis gang in Petare and the Cota 905 gang,” added Maduro, who recalled that in 2020, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, Operation Gedeón was coming and that the Wilexis was armed to cause anxiety in the neighborhoods of Petare with the support of these.
“The people are the greatest guarantee of security”
Maduro maintained that security will continue to be consolidated and that, in his opinion, “the people are the greatest guarantee of security.” He said that yesterday, he received information that is in the process of investigation, without providing further details, but that soon the Sectoral Vice President of Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, will address the country to offer statements about new modus operandi.
“(…) because they are always conspiring and the Sayonist criminal right only has sabotage, violence and crime, but they will not be able to,” he concluded.
