Air Europa and Plus Ultra also canceled their Madrid-Caracas flights on #25Nov

The Venezuelan state-owned Conviasa reported, in a statement on Instagram, that all of its national and international flights “are operating completely normally.”

The Spanish airlines Air Europa and Plus Ultra have suspended their flights scheduled for this Tuesday, November 25, between Madrid and Caracas, after the alert issued by the US air authority, which urged “extreme caution” when flying over Venezuelan territory and the southern Caribbean Sea in the face of “a potentially dangerous situation in the region.”

Sources from the Globalia airline, which offers five weekly frequencies to Venezuela, explained to EFE that flights will resume “when conditions are appropriate.”

Plus Ultra also indicated that they suspended the flight on November 25 and then they will see what happens with the rest of the operations between both cities. This airline had three flights a week.

Next Tuesday there will be no flights from Barajas airport to Maiquetía. For its part, Iberia will maintain the cancellation of its flights to Venezuela at least until December 1, as reported to EFE the airline company.

Air Europa and Plus Ultra join Iberia, the Portuguese Tap, the Colombian Avianca, the Trinidadian Caribbean, the Brazilian Gol, the Chilean Latam, the Turkish Turkish Airlines and other airlines that canceled their flights to Venezuela.

The Venezuelan state-owned Conviasa reported, in a statement on Instagram, that all of its national and international flights “are running completely normally.”

The United States air authority urged airlines to “exercise caution” in the face of what it considers “a potentially dangerous situation in the region,” a notice that coincides with the military deployment ordered by President Donald Trump in Caribbean waters and which they claim is to combat drug trafficking.
