43% of the child population between the ages of 5 and 11 have been vaccinated against Covid-19, this percentage being a total of more than 280,000 children, reported Eusebia de Copete, National Head of Nursing at the Ministry of Health (Minsa).
According to Copete, who toured the Manuel Amador Guerrero school, in the village of El Chorrillo, with the days called “School Vaccination”, 169,397 enrolled students are expected to be vaccinated nationwide, in addition to the fact that 36 circuits or districts are scheduled to be covered. distributed in 162 health centers where nursing staff will inoculate all students.
The Manuel Amador Guerrero school currently has an enrollment of 700 children where on its first day it is expected to vaccinate 138 of whom had their vaccination cards present.
This school vaccination day will last until March 18 and students who have the proper authorization from the parent or guardian will be vaccinated.
“670 schools will be served where the complete vaccination schedule of students between 5 to 11 years of age will be verified, to whom the vaccines that are missing from the normal schedule will be supplied,” said Copete.
