The Police and the Army captured alias “Caballo” and two collaborators in Betania; They seized weapons and drugs.
In a highly impactful operation, the Police, with the support of the National Army, achieved the capture of alias “Caballo”, identified as the urban leader of the Organized Armed Group (GAO) “Edwin Román Velásquez Valle”along with two of his main collaborators in the municipality of Betania.

Alias ”Caballo”, with a criminal record of four years, was the alleged person responsible for Selective homicides and direct attacks against the Public Force in the municipalities of Betania and Hispania, in the Southwest of Antioquia. This was stated by the commander of the Antioquia police, Colonel Oscar Mauricio Rico Guzman.
The intervention, framed in the Security dimension, was carried out in flagrante delicto. In addition to this ringleader, they were also arrested alias “Vergara”supposed coordinator of the structure with two years of tenure, mainly in charge of the distribution and sale of narcotics in urban and rural areas. He was also captured alias “Durango”: Member and personal escort of alias “Caballo”, with three years within the structure.

During the procedure, the authorities achieved the seizure of important war material and narcotics: two 9 mm type pistols, 30 cartridges of different calibers and 603 grams of marijuana.
