This Sunday, as part of the Fourth National Popular Consultation, the Minister of Popular Power for Youth, Sergio Lotartaro, visited three organized communities in the country, with the aim of accompanying young people in their participation processes and strengthening their voice in decision-making.
The tour began in the Hugo Chávez Commune, located on the main avenue Plaza Grande de Catia La Mar, in the state of La Guaira. There, the Minister, together with the general secretary of the Youth of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (Jpsuv), Grecia Colmenares and Génesis Garvett, president of the Great Young Venezuela Mission, toured community spaces.
At this meeting, youth spokespersons, sports leaders and representatives of social movements shared their ideas for local development and the strengthening of popular organization.
Subsequently, they moved to the Guerreros y Guerreras de Ojo de Agua Commune, in the El Pajuí Educational Unit, Ojo de Agua sector, Sucre parish where activities were developed with young students, cultists and community promoters.
The tour culminated in the Generalísimo Francisco de Miranda XXI Commune, located in Catia, Libertador municipality of Caracas, where a meeting was held with young community leaders and spokespersons for popular power, who shared organizational experiences and proposals for strengthening communal life.
In addition, the surroundings of the sports field, winner of the Popular National Youth Consultation, held on July 27, were explored.
During this day, the Minister of Youth extended his congratulations to the Venezuelan youth for their active participation in the Consultation and their leading role in strengthening popular participation.
The 4th National Popular Consultation is established as an exercise in direct democracy, where Venezuelan youth take a leading role in defining strategic projects for their communities, covering areas such as culture, sports, education, production and social well-being.
