Business associations support measures to strengthen border security

This Saturday, November 22, various business unions expressed their support for the announcement of measures aimed at strengthening the protection and security of the borders of Peru.

As is known, Foreign Minister Hugo de Zela promised greater surveillance in the country’s bordering territories because there are no longer “conditions to continue receiving a significant number of migrants“.

In this context, the representatives of various productive sectors at the national level “fully agree that an orderly and safe management of the migratory flows is essential.”

This, “to guarantee social stability, strengthen citizen security and ensure the continuity of economic activities” throughout Peru in the face of “the substantial increase in migration“.

“We also welcome the Government’s decision to strengthen intersectoral coordination and intensify joint work with neighboring countries and international organizations,” they celebrated.

The statement was signed by the Lima Chamber of Commerce, Adex, Comex Peru, National Society of Industries, Automotive Association of Peru and Mipymes among other business associations.
