The Judicial Office of Permanent Care Services of Santo Domingo Oeste imposed three months of preventive detention as measure of coercion against Pablo Saturnino Matías Sosawho becomes the fourth defendant to whom in less than a month they dictate that measure of coercion for the alleged theft of electrical metersowned by the Southern Electricity Distribution Company (Dominican Edesur).
The court ruled that the measure of coercion against Matías Sosa is fulfilled in the Correction Center and Rehabilitation Najayo-Men (CCR), as reported Edesur via press release.
During the hearing, the Public Ministry presented as evidence a minutes where the elements and instruments occupied by the accused on the 21st of the current month, as part of the ongoing investigation proceedings.

Since October 20, four defendants have been sent to prison for alleged theft of meters owned by the public company.
The other cases
Last Wednesday, November 19, Edesur communicated the measure of coercion against Kelvin Zacarías of Jesús Ovando also for the alleged theft of electrical metersin an event that occurred on Apolo Street in the Olimpo sector.
Meanwhile, on November 8th the same coercive measure was ruled against Junior Laraaccused of a similar act, but committed in the Villa Aura sectoraccording to various press reports from the company.

The electricity distribution company reiterated its commitment to collaborate closely with the competent authorities within the framework of judicial processes that seek the protection of public assets and the security of the national electrical system, as well as the appropriate sanction, with strict adherence to the law.
